The Sierra Club's committed activists, volunteers, organizers and partner organizations have worked tirelessly for over three years to delay the Big Stone II Coal plant expansion. Now, the proposal has been abandoned to make way for our clean energy future.

The proposed Big Stone II Coal Plant is an enormous expansion of an existing coal plant just over the border in South Dakota that will provide Minnesota with more power.
